Technical Consultant

The RMI Built Environment Team is one of the world's leading proponents of green development, a fast-growing field in which the pursuit of environmental excellence produces fundamentally better buildings and communities—more comfortable, more efficient, more appealing, and ultimately more profitable.

Our consultants work directly with developers, architects, and other real-estate professionals to integrate resource-efficient and environmentally responsive design into specific projects. Some examples of our projects include from large scale, mixed use developments in Hawaii, educational outreach videos and publications, to providing technical and strategic guidance on a program that brings together the world’s largest cities, building owners, banks and energy-service companies to identify energy efficiency retrofits to existing buildings to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Complementing these consulting activities, our staff also compiles case studies and researches new policies, technologies, and techniques for improving the performance of buildings. Team members lecture widely, conduct seminars on green development, and author both popular and specialized publications.

The Built Environment Team (BET) is currently seeking a new full time technical consultant to add to the team. This position is available immediately.
