Ms. Fluhrer focuses on sustainable building, energy, and water design strategies for a range of project types including large mixed-used developments, educational facilities, office facilities, and existing buildings. Research efforts focus on the business case for green building, metrics and reporting methodologies, energy efficiency in corporate real estate, and green leasing strategies.

Background
Prior to joining RMI, Ms. Fluhrer was completing her graduate and undergraduate engineering degrees at Stanford University focused on energy-efficient buildings and renewable energy and power systems. Ms. Fluhrer also completed summer internships in civil engineering, construction management, and structural engineering, along with a study abroad program at Oxford University. During her undergraduate tenor, Caroline captained the Stanford Women’s Gymnastics Team, winning four Pac-10 Championships, and garnering three All-American honors.
