Project Overview

American Century Investments - Denver, CO

RMI/ENSAR’s task was to work with the project developer to design a new office building that would meet the demands of its incoming tenant, American Century Investments. American Century Investments had stipulated high-level indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency and other green building features for their new office.

RMI/ENSAR Role

RMI/ENSAR assessed American Century Investments’ needs and in turn provided sustainable consulting for the developer.

Results

RMI/ENSAR proposed strategies that would cut energy operating costs in half, namely sun control, daylighting, high performance glazing, efficient lighting, and mechanical systems. A high-level of indoor environmental quality was achieved by under floor HVAC distribution, materials selection, and lighting quality. The LEED Green Building rating system was used as a tool to assist in developing design strategies.
